Activities for Lesson 10

Play songs that were popular with the Southern troops. Compare these with some songs the Northern troops played and sang. Here you will find sources for music of the Civil War era:

Directions:  Stop all players using the square "stop" button. Start one song at a time by pressing the triangle "play" button.

Have students draw illustrations to go with one of the songs. Put the drawing   together into a book.

Have students draw or make from construction paper either the Confederate or Union flag.
