A yearbook is an important part of the school experience.  Two teachers work with twelve fifth and sixth grade students to provide a book of memories for families.  Yearbook staff meeting are planned to provide time for selling ads, choosing the cover, taking photos, proof reading, and organization.

Mountain City Elementary’s yearbook staff is a wonderful opportunity for 5^th and 6^th graders to be involved in our school.  The students that are selected to be a part of the yearbook staff are involved in every area of creating the yearbook from gathering advertisements to editing the final product.  Students gain invaluable real world experiences in essay writing, money management, and communication.  Allowing this opportunity for the students has been very rewarding.
