Hearts for the House

 


2011

Mountain City Elementary School staff, students, and parents recently participated in the Ronald McDonald "Hearts for the House" project and collected $1,618.00. 

Students who sold the most hearts were:

1st place:  Madison Wright;

2nd place:  Jenna Horner;

3rd place:  Cortney Wilson.

Many families in Johnson County benefit from the Ronald McDonald House and the school is eager to support this “Kids Helping Kids" program. Teresa Mullen, a first grade teacher, coordinated this project.

2010

Students recently participated in "Hearts for the House", sponsored by the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House. This was a community project with all of the raised funds going to the Ronald McDonald House.

Our school raised a total of $1,278.00 to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.  Students that raised the most money were:
 

Winning Classroom: Mr. Taylor's 6th Grade
1st place: Ashley Wright
2nd place: Madison Wright
3rd place: Nick Whitener
