11. Rattles were musical instruments used by many Native American groups. The Southwest Indians made theirs from turtle shells.
12. Drums were another musical instrument. They were usually made from hollow logs. Some were filled with water to make different tones.
13. The Iroquois made masks from corn husks.

Part 5 Food
Name the group.
The Apache raided other tribes for food.
The Inuit ate otters, walruses, seals, and caribou.
The Northwest Coastal Tribes ate salmon, whales, bear, caribou, deer, elk, and moose as well as roots and berries gathered from the forests.
The Pueblo were desert farmers. They grew alot of corn.
The Plains Indians ate buffalo.
The Iroquois ate beans, squash, and corn which they named The Three Sisters. They also hunted for deer, bears, caribou, elk, moose, wild duck, geese, partridge, beavers, and other game.
The Great Lake Tribes were hunters and farmers. Much of their diet was wild rice.
