Johnson County has one of the most scenic golf courses in the South. Red Tail Mountain Golf Club is an eighteen hole golf course designed by Dan Maples. The course was completed in 1982 after 2 1/2 years of construction.  The course has expansive flat holes near Roan Creek and then gives way to  very hilly and steep terrain as you climb from the old creek bottom.
