Star Reading
STAR Reading is a computerized, norm-referenced test of students' reading skills designed to complement Accelerated Reader. It takes advantage of adaptive-branching technology: If a student answers a question correctly, the level of difficulty is increased; if he answers a question incorrectly, the level of difficulty is reduced. This system minimizes frustration and allows for the test to be taken quickly - in less than ten minutes. The computer generates test results seconds after the student completes the test.
