Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

 |
Read Across America/Dr. Seuss Day will be
Wednesday, March 2
this year. Ms. Cunningham and I are suggesting the following
activities to celebrate. Since we have missed so much school this
year, we tried to protect instructional time as much as possible.
We felt that reading to students would be an appropriate activity. |

Pajama Day
Again this year, we will celebrate by wearing appropriate pajamas
and bedroom shoes. Please share with parents in your class
newsletter.
Cat In the Hat Readings
I will be dressed as Cat in the Hat again this year. Since Mar. 2
is on a Wednesday
and since that is my afternoon with no classes, I am offering to
read to Pre-K - 4th grade classes in the media center, if you
would like. (Sorry, 5th & 6th--just not enough time.) Check the
schedule below and let me know if this will work. (Special
teachers:
1st & kinders would miss your class; you would need to bring the
students to the media center & stay with them; so this would need
your approval. Please let me know. Thanks!)
9:30 - 9:50 Preschool/Headstart
12:30 - 12:55 1st Grade
1:00 - 1:25 Kinders
1:30 - 1:55 2nd Grade
2:00 - 2:25 3rd Grade
2:30 - 2:50 4th Grade
