The Stampede
The Stampede is the big money raising event for our school. Each student asks family and friends to pledge 5¢, 10¢ or more for each lap the student walks around the Mountain City Elementary playground. If someone wishes to pledge a set amount rather than per lap, that is great too.

Many volunteers came and helped count the number of laps the students made. Parent volunteers worked extremely hard trying to count pledges. Prizes were awarded to the students who collected the most money. Mountain City Elementary collected over $17,000.00 for the 2007-08 school year. We appreciate the financial support MCE received from our students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff for the tremendous financial support. |
The top schoolwide winner is Josh Herman from Mrs. Fletcher's second grade class. The top five winners are Celena Allen, Channie Allen, Cheyenne Campbell, Brianna Anderson, and Makayla Fritts. The top grade level winners are:
