Mountain City Elementary families are encouraged to participate in the TV Turn-Off Week.  This is an annual event which was started in 1994 after concerns arose regarding the health, social, and educational impact television viewing was having on our children.  Kids and families pledge to turn off the TV for the week and discover the wide range of possibilities open to them when television is not a part of their lives.
