Time Zones
See the table below for
current times around the world.
The Earth is divided into time
zones. The zones are based on lines of longitude. You begin at the 0 meridian which runs
through Greenwich, England. When you travel east, you must move your watch forward one
hour each time you cross a time zone. If you are traveling west and you cross a time zone,
you must move your watch back one hour. Many countries do not wish for the time to change
in their country so the time zone changes at the country's border. Larger countries may
have a number of time zones.
