We are fortunate to have the following new staff members: Sandra McCloud as a Head Start teacher, Brittany Fletcher as a second grade teacher, Mindy Motsinger as a second grade teacher, Tammy Jarvis as a fifth grade teacher, Jackie Stephenson as our Reading Specialist, Ala Moretz as our librarian, and Katrina Wolfe as a Head Start assistant.

We will once again participate in the Food City "Apples for Students" Program. However instead of collecting receipts form Food city, please give our school name when checking out. Please collect receipts from Food Country dated September 10, 2007 through March 10, 2008.

Please donate all used ink cartridges to MCE. We get money for each used cartridge. Pleas each family and friends to donate theirs to MCE!

Instead of our October 16th PTO meeting, our staff will be working at McDonalds form 5:00 PM-8:00PM. Our school will receive 30% of the profit taken in during this time. Please support our school by doing business with McDonalds between 5:00 and 8:00 on Tuesday, October 16th.

Our school wide attendance goat is 95%! The class with the highest attendance percentage at the end of the year will get to go on a free field trip!
