Kindergarten, Head Start and PreK

Registration

Mountain City Elementary will hold

kindergarten registration on the same day and time as Head Start and PreK registration. This will be Thursday, March 23^rd.

Students whose last names begin with A-L are to register from 8:30 to 10:30. Students whose last names begin with M-Z are to register from 1:00 to 3:00.

Students in grades 2-6 participated in a spelling bee on January 19, 2006. The grade level representatives were as follows:

4^th – Evan Lewis

5^th – Lori Eller

6^th – Marissa Potter

Congratulations to Evan Lewis. He is the school-wide spelling bee winner. Evan will represent Mountain City Elementary at the countywide spelling bee competition on February 6, 2006, at Roan Creek Elementary at 6:00 p.m. (The snow date will be February 13^th.)

Students are invited to wear appropriate pajamas and house shoes or dress in red and white on March 2, when we celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Family members are invited to visit their child’s classroom and read a story.
