Welcome to All!

    We welcome all of our new pre-k and kindergarten students.  We are very glad that they will be attending MCE this year.

    We also want to welcome our new students in grades one through six:  Dylan Shepherd, Laura Austin, Austin Houser, Patrick Edwards, Saira Night, Raven Hensley, Kevin Potter, Cole Snyder, Cody Bailie, Justin Cox,  Sierra Auton, Evan Baugess, Alex Burchette, Rebekah Cox, Miranda Forrester, Matthew Douglas, Sierra Matherly, Megan Dunn,  and Andrew Rafferty.

     MCE has a few students that had moved away but returned this year.  They are Casey Davis, Danny Shipman, Robbi Howell, Mikey Barnes and Logan Taylor.  We are glad they have returned.

New Staff Members

     We are fortunate to have the following new staff members:  Beverly Teague as our new school secretary, Melissa Mahala as an instructional assistant, Sandra McCloud as part of Head Start staff, Carrie Osborne as the lunchroom cashier, Marie Icenhour as a kindergarten teacher, Michelle Walters as a fifth grade teacher, Kimberly Compton as a sixth grade teacher and Jenna Rouse as a sixth grade teacher.

 PTO Meeting

     The first PTO meeting of the 2006-07 school year will be on Tuesday, September 19^th at 6:30 in the cafeteria.  First grade will be performing a few songs. 

     Please make plans to join us.

 Traffic Alert!

     Please help us to keep our parking lots safe by parking in the marked parking spaces.  Every space is available on a first come first serve basis. This will help to prevent traffic congestion. Your assistance is needed and appreciated.

Food City “Apples for Students”

     We will once again participate in this wonderful program.  Please send in all receipts dated Sept. 10, 2006, through March 10, 2007.  Please ask family and friends to help us save!

Computer Cartridges – Please donate all used cartridges to MCE.

We get $3.00 for each used cartridge.  Please ask friends and family to donate theirs to MCE!
