Mud Cake

Directions plain chocolate cup cakes - one per student instant chocolate pudding milk whipped topping Oreos or other chocolate cookies gummy worms

Make a package of chocolate instant pudding according to instructions. Mix in 1 cup of thawed frozen whipped topping such as Cool Whip. Have students put a spoonful of chocolate pudding mixture in the bottom of a clear plastic cup. Next put the cupcake on the pudding.

Add a second spoonful of pudding on top of the cup cake. Then put a gummy worm in the pudding. Sprinkle the top with Oreo cookie crumbs.

Display Your Work

You should have the following items which would be great to display in a hallway for other students to see:

• a class book with the different ways Billy ate his worms
• worm jokes
• worm story
• worm worms with each letter of the alphabet
• directions for making worm cookies
• charts of the 10 yuckiest foods
• charts with the condiments your class liked best
• lists of foods you would and wouldn't eat for $50.00
• journal
• a letter telling what you liked best about learning about worms
