Activities

1. Vocabulary word for Part 1 is dung. (the excrement of animals, manure)

   page 34 - A dung wagon being readied for work. This vehicle, the only transport available for our journey, is certainly no Cinderella coach.

   page 37 - On the outskirts of Pooktook, we were met by a crew who proceeded to fill our dung wagon with the noxious droppings of the dinosaurs.

   page 43 - He (Lee Crabb) then confided his extraordinary plan for escaping Dinotopia. Apparently it involves creating gunpowder from the dung - he assumes - my 'scientific' help.

2. Start Character Map. Label characters from the Hatchery, Pooktook, and Volcaneum.
3. Will and Arthur arrive in Dintopia by riding on dolphins. Learn more about dolphins. Try making a dolphin from clay. View one of the websites below:
