Activities
Octopus
While diving into the sea to retrieve his knife, Mafatu was attacked by an octopus. Try making this edible octopus.
 Cut a hotdog to form the octopus. Heat the hotdog in the microwave oven. |
 Place the hotdog on a bed of cooked shell-shaped pasta mixed with a white sauce. |
 Decorate with Goldfish Crackers. |

Drums
Make a drum from a large tin can or oatmeal box. Decorate it with Polynesian designs.
Raft
Mafatu made a raft so he could set out bamboo traps in the lagoon. He knew he would not grow strong by eating fruit alone. Try making a model of a raft.
