Helmets for the Knights and Hats for the Ladies
|
Can you believe this helmet was made from an ordinary milk jug? See the directions below. Follow them to make your own helmet. |
Make helmets or cone shaped hats.
| A helmet may be made from a gallon milk jug. Cut out the side opposite the handle and the bottom of the jug. The opening you cut needs to be large enough to put your face through. From the left over pieces of plastic cut a chin strap. Staple the chin strap onto the helmet. Cover the helmet with aluminum foil. Add a paper plume at the top of the helmet. |

Girls may wish to make a cone hat instead. Use a large piece of poster board. Cut it into a half circle shape. Roll the poster board into a cone shape and staple the back seam securely. Add a long scarf to the point. This may be taped to the inside before rolling. Staple two ribbons on the sides so that the hat may be tied under the chin when wearing. |
