1.  Review plant and animal cells

2.  Read TCAP Coach Lesson 18 "Recognizing Geological Features" pages 110-112

3.  Pass out Flashcards. Have students cut apart the cards and discuss.

4.  Show PowerPoint Presentation.

5.  Build landforms from modeling clay.

Days 2-3 - Earth's Different Environments 4.2.spi.1

  1. 1.  Read TCAP Coach Lesson 4 pages 46-49

  2. 2.  United Streaming Habitats: Homes for Living Things (15:00) OR Animals around Us (21:04)

  3. 3.  Discuss each on the following environments. Ask students which landforms they are likely to find in each of the environments.

Eat animal cookies. Students must name the environment each animal lives in before eating.

  1. Give each child (group) a box of animal crackers and a habitat picture page.
  2. Have them sort the animals into the habitats they belong.
  3. Have the students discuss why the animals belong in the habitats they put them in.
  4. Have students compare with another student or group.  Discuss differences.
