In one corner of our classroom is our
reading center. The reading center could easily be called a listening center for we have
over 100 audio books. Students may go to the reading center after finishing their
assignments or during tutoring time. Many students even give up recess to come and curl up
with a good book. |

| All books in the reading center have
Accelerated Reading tests. Students who earn their AR goal are awarded with a quarterly
fieldtrip.
As well as listening to or reading a good book in
class, students may check out the books for home reading as well. |

links will take you to checklists of books that are available for checkout. Print out the
list. Check off the books as you read them. Keep this record in your Accelerated Reading
Folder to help you keep track of which books you have read.
