Each year our
class makes a video production. During the 2001 - 2002 school year the video was about
dogs. This was part of a unit we completed while reading the following books:

During the 2000-2001 year our
video project was about Johnson County. Students video taped places of interest in Johnson
County. After returning from the trips, students edited the videos, piecing together the
choice selections into one video. Next, the students used the information they had
gathered in the interviews, along with newspaper articles, history books, and pamphlets to
compose research papers. The students then narrated these reports onto an audio tape. The
audio was dubbed over the existing sound on the video making a documentary style film. You
