Activity 1 Learn about head injuries. |
When you injure your head symptoms may occur immediately or develop over several hours. A large number of symptoms may occur including unconsciousness, bleeding, slowed breathing, confusion, convulsions, drainage from the nose, mouth or ears, severe headaches, personality changes, restlessness, slurred speech, swelling, vision problems, or vomiting.
You should call for medical assistance if the injured person losses consciousness, if there is severe bleeding, a neck injury, or problems with breathing.
