Just as I was reeling in the third trout of the day while on the Alaska tundra, I heard a low knarling, growling noise coming from the low foliage of the forest. Nothing was there, so I reeled the trout. Then when I got it out of the water, a coyote shot out of the brush and tackled me on the ice. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I fought him, and I found him. Then we slid in the freezing cold, ice water. The coyote was slicing and biting my face and my arms. After 30 seconds I realized I had forgotten about my knife. I took it out of its sheath then I slice him, and sliced at him. Blood was squirting all in the water. I drug him out of the freezing cold water. Then I cut the meat off the hide and used the hide for a blanket. There I was; drenched, wet, and clammy with a fur blanket, some coyote meat, and three trout. Well, now they were frozen trout!
